Trainer Trends Part 1 of 4

There have been lots written about trainers and their trends.

Many people try to second guess the trainer by trying to work out the strategy they use for each horse that they run.

There is no doubt if you can second guess a trainer and know when they expect to run a horse from their yard for a win…

…Then you have a good chance of making a profit from that run.

But that takes a lot of work and a lot of “guess” work!

Or as they like to say “Connections”

I look at it from another point of view.

To make money Trainers need to win races.

Yes there are tactics for certain horses.

And there is no doubt they play games but they still want to make money.

Which means they have to win sometimes!

Like any business a yard will have plans.

For themselves or for their investors…

…They will want to show how they expect to make a profit.

And it is looking at their runs together that my “Trainer trends” comes in.

Instead of looking at individual horses from a trainer we look at them as a group entity and see how they are performing overall.

What we are looking for is Trainers that are showing winning form, and have for a number of months.

One thing I am convinced about…

…Is that you must split up the race types between All Weather, Hurdle, Chase and Flat.

Different tactics and training methods are going to be needed for these different types of races.

In the next email I will give you some examples of trends you could look out for.

Thanks

P.S. I am putting all the knowledge I have learned from experimenting and recording in to the TJ “Done for you service”.

Some of the systems coming along will be based on trends.

These will be added to a new section so that you can decide if following trends is something you want to do.

But I am hoping this 4 part series will show you it is something to be considered.

If you not on board now you may want to.

P.P.S. I have also put together a 7 video series showing how I found the top 5 trending Jockey Trainer and Jockey/Trainer pairs across all race types.

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular betting program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical betting does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical betting record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual betting. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular betting program in spite of betting losses are material points which can also adversely affect betting results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific betting program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual betting results.

HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL BETTING. ALSO, SINCE THE BETS HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER-OR-OVER COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED BETTING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFIT OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN
